International Work Permits will be able to advise all applicants currently on HSMP. Please note: applicants who are applying for extension or initial HSMP in the UK will need to apply for the new Tier 1 General Highly Skilled Migrant [GHSM] sub-category. Under the new scoring structure, individuals must qualify with a minimum of 80 points, as well as showing that they meet a number of other basic criteria . Points are awarded for qualifications, age, earnings, and experience studying or working in the UK. In addition, individuals must be proficient in English (IELTS level 6.5 + or a Bachelors degree taught and instructed in English or national of an English speaking country). Furthermore, there is a maintenance requirement of 800GBP in the last 3 months.
